Will someone show me how to use the equipment when I join?

YES! We understand how confusing equipment can be even if you have worked out in the past. We have staff on site from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday to assist you. We encourage all members to take advantage of our free initial training session which walks you through the facility and how to use the equipment. We also have personal trainers ready to help you meet your health & fitness goals. If you are interested in personal training, inform the front desk of your interest and we will get you in contact with one of the trainers to discuss package options.

What should I know about the free-weight area?

Everyone is responsible for maintaining the safety of ALL gym members. ALL WEIGHTS and DUMBBELLS must be racked immediately after use. Not only will this keep the gym floor clear, but it will help decrease the frequency of accidents. PLEASE be courteous of others and re-rack your weights. Dumbbells range in weight from 2.5 pounds to an available 197.5 pounds. We have over a ton of plates so don’t be shied away thinking there’s not enough here to lift.

How does the 24 hour 7 day a week access work?

Upon becoming a member of Smart Body you will receive an access card to our facility. This access card works in conjunction with a 4 digit personal identification number (PIN) that YOU choose. Using your card and code are easy. Simply wave the card in front of the proximity reader (located by the front door) enter your PIN number and you’re in. Smart Body facilities are available all 365 days of the year including all holidays.

What are the towels and spray bottles located throughout the facility for?

We provide, as a member service, towels and spray bottles for wiping off equipment after each use. It is a common courtesy to spray and wipe ALL machines after EACH use.

What type of entertainment system do you have and how do I use it?

MYE (My Entertainment) by TRUE is a fitness entertainment system that is installed on all of our cardio equipment. A small receiver box transmits audio from our overhead televisions. These televisions are pre-set to 6 different channels for your enjoyment. To use, simply plug in any standard set of headphones to start your entertainment experience.

I have a friend who is thinking about joining, but would like to use the facility as a guest for one day with me. What is your guest policy?

Guests are permitted in the facility every day. Members can bring in guests for FREE by obtaining a guest pass from the front desk. Each additional visit after the pass has expired is $5.00 per guest per visit. A guest can use the facility with a member as often as desired. Guests need to sign in at the front desk upon arrival at the facility and payment will be collected at that time as well. Tours will be provided by our staff should your guest desire.

I lost an item in the facility. Where do I check for it?

Ask any staff member to check in the “Lost & Found” for your item. Please provide a detailed description of your item as to help identify and ensure ownership.
